Step 1 of 4: Your client asks for the photos. A few photographs, or the whole gallery. Both routes are named, and neither is hidden.
Formats
A print file and a quick phone share do not need the same dimensions, and answering each request by hand means going back to your editor. Switch the formats on once and every version is prepared for you, so a client asking for something web-sized a month later costs you nothing.
Scope
One button, and both routes are named on it. A selection or a whole gallery is packed in the background and emailed, so neither of you waits on a page. A single photograph still saves straight from the photo itself, because its download-sized copy was made the moment you uploaded it.
Request
One format applies to the whole download, and the request states what is coming before your client commits: how many photographs, in which format, at roughly what size.
Control
Downloads are a gallery setting, not an account one. Keep them off while a selection round is running, then offer the right formats once the work is signed off.
